As usual, fishing has been challenging over the month of August but things are now starting to settle down with some good spells of fish activity over the last few days. The fishery has been stocked weekly over the last few weeks with lots of larger fish (including Tigers) introduced. Warm conditions mixed with lots of heavy rain and strong winds don’t provide the best conditions for fishing. We’re looking forward to September being a good month with signs of fish now starting to be more active and chasing fry. There’s also been good surface activity during periods and we’ve seen some anglers doing well with foam daddies and emergers during these periods. Lures and nymphs have also featured in the returns with the burn end and far bank producing more fish.
We’re continuing to put safety first so pleas keep to our social distancing guidelines and call the fishery in advance to confirm bookings.
