Fishing over the last week has been excellent with many anglers getting into double figures. Last week’s easterly wind meant that the dam was fishing well with dries – foam beetles, hoppers and sedges all featuring in the catch returns. The westerly wind on Saturday seemed to put the fish down and intermediate lines with lures was the top tactic. Damsels, Black lures and Cormorants all did well for anglers with the shallow end producing more fish than the dam end. Generally, the fish are well spread over the reservior and getting the right depth is key to success. Booking in advance required.
