Fishing Report 14-06-2018

We were delighted to host the Ferrier Pumps Corporate Day last Friday and the weather was unusually pleasant.   Over the last few years cold and wet has been the norm but thing certainly brightened up this year and anglers required sunscreen.    The bright conditions did make fishing challenging but everyone enjoyed the day and Brian provided some great prizes and complementary food/drinks.    The winner was Steve Culbert who had caught all of his fish by lunch time on dry flies and diawl bachs at the dam end.   He spent most of the afternoon helping other anglers on the assumption that he was so far ahead in the morning session.   Mick Mulgrew did have a late surge using a hot head cat pattern on intermediate line at the burn end and managed a total of five fish and finished behind Steve.   Lots of other anglers had good bags of three fish and the heaviest fish on the day was just over 6lbs .

As always please ask at the cabin to find out the latest tactics and we’ve also got a fresh stock of the latest fly patterns that are producing fish…
