Fishing Report 4th June 2018
Lots of fish rising over the weekend but trying to match what they were interested in was a challenge. I started off at the burn end with buzzers and a FAB but changed to dries after seeing lots of rising fish. After trying several varieties of dries with no success – I tried a combination of hares ears and diawl bachs. This attracted 3 good lively fish and I headed for lunch to find out that others had success with a variety of tactics – emergers, yellow dancers and FABs. I headed for the Dam after lunch and had good success with the same tactics using a midge tip line and a slow figure of eight retrieve. Fish are well distributed over all of the reservoir but the far bank, burn end and dam wall are top areas for bank anglers.
