Fishing Report 27/03/2018
It’s been a quiet week at Loganlea, customers did better as the week went on Wed Mr Findlay popped up for 2hrs, and was rewarded with 8 fish mostly taken on a cormorant. On Friday Mr Mackie and his two sons took and released over 30 fish using hot head damsels and squirmy wormies. Sat started slowly in the morning due to bright sunlight, then the clouds rolled in, in the afternoon and the fish made an appearance. Top rod on Sat was Marco Capozella catching and realising 48 fish including 1 which was 10lb +. Marco returned on Sunday catching and releasing another 40 fish 88 in total over the weekend, mostly caught in a white paddle tail bug fished under a indicator. Regular Marco left the following post on his facebook page:
“Unbelievable day today at Loganlea Fishery, as much as the suns lovely and a welcome sight after the crap weather the last few weeks, it was my enemy most of the morning with it just being to bright for the troots to play ball. From lunchtime onwards seen some nice clouds moving over the Pentland Hills which really brought the fish up from the depths with some great sport had for the rest of the day. Today i have smashed not only a PB netting & returning 48 beautiful fish in total i also finally got into a double figure Rainbow at Loganlea Fishery which i have been trying to do for some time. Quality day had happy laddie”
Loganlea usually fishes well at the start of the season and some of the best sport is on offer in the early part of the year. The weather outlook for the weekend:
