Loganlea Fishing Report 27th April 2018
A reminder that our casting instructor will be giving free lessons this Sunday between 10am & 2pm – I can fully recommend a session with Steve for anyone that wants to improve their distance or accuracy. A 15 minute session can work wonders for even experienced anglers!
Fishing has continued to be good and the fish now seem to be more distributed across the reservoir. Ian McNicoll Jnr and Senior enjoyed a good session last weekend on the Dam and from the boat near the posts at the Dam end. Lots of fish were taken on lures (White & Green) on floating and midge tip lines – both commented on the good size and fight from every fish the connected with. The shallow end had proved more difficult for bank anglers with most folks picking up two or three fish rather than the double figures posted on previous weekends. The weather has turned colder again but that doesn’t seem to have impacted on the fishing with fish showing on the surface when the conditions are right.
Tactics seem to vary based on conditions so please ask at the cabin or speak to some of the regulars to find out what’s working best. We continue to stock weekly so give us a visit and enjoy some of the best fishing and scenery near Edinburgh.
